The world is talking about the glory of the great Sachin Tendulkar for his feat of 50 centuries in Test cricket, Ricky Ponting was thought as the only cricketer who could possibly better this record in the near future. But no has probably kept an eye over Jacques Kallis who has been inching closer and closer to this miraculous number.
He has 39 test centuries till date , same as Ponting which is bettered only by Tendulkar. Even though there is difference of 12 centuries between them, going by the form of Kallis, there is every chance that he makes 50 tons if not surpass Sachin. He also has age by his side, currently 35 years 81 days, a good 2 and a half years younger than Sachin. only fitness is a bit of a concern for him but his deep desire to rescue his team was well visible during the match against India when he was playing even after picking up some pain.
What makes him stand out is his all-round abilities. Even though he is 35, he bowls faster and better than most of the front line bowlers in the world. His overall stats are not bettered by any one in this world and he a fantastic fielder in the slip cordon as well.
Being an Indian I would not want to see him crossing Sachin's feat, but being a true cricket fan I definitely would.
